Schindler's 3300 and 5300 series are among the most widely installed traction elevator platforms in North America and worldwide. Introduced in the late 1990s and refined through the 2000s and 2010s, these systems use a modular PCB architecture with dedicated I/O, communication, relay output, and drive interface boards.
The compact I/O communication board handles serial data exchange between the controller and field devices, featuring a main QFP processor, dual oscillator cans, and a DIN-rail mounting bracket for easy installation in the controller cabinet.
The relay output board provides switched relay outputs to field devices using QA561T 48/250V solid state relay modules — a robust, long-life design suited to the demanding elevator environment. Orange terminal blocks on both edges allow direct field wiring without additional terminal strips.
